Annual Charity Fashion Show

We are happy to bring the Annual Charity Fashion Show back to New Albany on Sunday, November 11 at the new venue – The Estate.

This year’s event will help benefit the local organization, She Has A Name, a strong community of abolitionists that exists to fight human trafficking through education, collaboration, and survivor care. As a community resource, their focus is on defining human trafficking, the needs of survivors, and getting connected. Unfortunately, Ohio ranks fourth in the country for human trafficking cases reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. In 2017 alone, they served over 310 survivors and they’ll use the funds they requested to strengthen resources provided to those impacted by human trafficking in our community. Any additional funds raised will benefit the NAWN Endowment Fund.

NAWN holds two major fundraising events annually, the Annual Charity Fashion Show and An Evening in New Albany, both of which are open to the public. The proceeds from the Annual Charity Fashion Show benefit a central Ohio charitable organization that is selected each year by the NAWN Board, and which benefits women and children. The proceeds from An Evening in New Albany go to NAWN’s Endowment Fund, a “charitable savings account” that provides investment income that may be used to make grants to worthy local causes or other nonprofit organizations that support NAWN’s mission of “creating a strong community.” Since 2000, NAWN has raised over $1 million dollars for the beneficiaries of our charitable events. We are proud to have supported 25 different beneficiaries, as well as having increased the level of our Endowment Fund.
