I was recently reminded of the true spirit of NAWN members. A member was faced with a difficult situation that required her to leave town unexpectedly. She was gone within hours and had to leave behind two small kids and her husband. NAWN members immediately stepped up and prepared meals for her family. The Girls Group, a high school club designed after NAWN, also assisted by providing babysitting services and transportation for her children throughout the weeks that she was gone. This was such a huge help and these services allowed her to focus on what was important at that time. I share this story because it's important to be reminded of all the good that NAWN does for its members and the community.
In the same spirit, we prepare for our 11th Annual Fashion Show and Marketplace on March 20. Again, NAWN members and community friends will come together to support an organization in need. The fashion show chairs and committee members are hard at work to bring you a first class fashion show, fabulous food, a large variety in the Marketplace and a wonderful selection of silent auction items.
