Charitable Donation Guidelines

 

Guidelines for Donations

 

New Albany Women’s Network (NAWN) welcomes requests for charitable donations from non-profit organizations serving the New Albany community.  NAWN’s Executive Committee will review applications for funding and will make a recommendation to NAWN’s Board.   Annually, NAWN’s Board will set a budget for its charitable donations. 

 

These guidelines do not apply to scholarships that NAWN awards annually or to the selection of beneficiaries for NAWN’s fundraisers.

 

Eligiblity Criteria


Each applicant must:
 

  •  be a charitable organization

  •  submit a proposal that impacts the New Albany community

     

To make the best use of available funds, NAWN looks to fund projects or activities that satisfy one or both of the following conditions:

  •  are consistent with NAWN’s mission to benefit women and children 

  •  foster a strong sense of community

           

Application Procedures

 

If your organization meets the eligibility criteria, please submit in writing:

 

(1)       Name of organization

(2)       Copy of your tax exempt letter from the IRS (if applicable)

(3)       Contact Name and Title

            Telephone number

            Email address

            Mailing address

(4)       A detailed description of the project or activity to be funded

(5)       A description of the specific impact of NAWN’s donation

(6)       If applicable, (i) specify the number of women and children the project or activity will benefit and (ii) describe how the project or activity will foster a strong sense of community

(7)       Amount of request

(8)       Date by which you need the requested funds

(9)       A description of how NAWN’S donation will be recognized in promotional materials.
